We were all aware of our using capacity. We knew exactly how much we needed to get to where we wanted to be. We knew exactly how much we needed to stay where we wanted to be. We knew exactly how much we needed to finish ourselves off. We knew exactly how much we could get down to before it was time to score again. We were generally happy when we found ourselves in a surplus. Care free with nothing that could stop us. Things started to change as we started to run low. The fear and anxiety began to creep in. Then obsession. Then the exhausting and unending pursuit of that next score. One thing we did figure out as we began to run low however was how to be efficient. How to stretch out what we had left. How to get more out of what we had.
